Tampa
 
We are invited for a free stay in Tampa with some friends, what should we not miss? Aquarium sounds very good? We like natural beauty as opposed to buildings/traffic-Thanks

The aquarium is good for an hour or two. Other than that, I would head for Clearwater or St. Pete Beach.

We enjoyed the aquarium very much. It was fun watching the diver go into the tank with the sharks, eels and other fish. Also don't miss Ybor City, hope I have the spelling right. Lots of local color and good food.

lorrane - the aquarium also has a 1-2 hr dolphin watching cruise on the bay; tampa electric has a free manatee viewing area during winter at its big bend power plant; you can swim with them with a wet suit in crystal river; if the weather's not too cold, canoe the upper hillsborough river in north tampa (canoe outpost rentals). enjoy!<BR>

Lorrane,<BR>My wife and I were in Tampa for the Super Bowl and had a great time at the Gasparilla Parade. I'm not sure when it is scheduled for in 2002. <BR><BR>If you happen to be in town, it is a fun way to spend a few hours.<BR>
