Taliesin West - Need reservations?

Hi, We're looking forward to our mid-October visit to AZ. We have a pretty rigid schedule for GC and Sedona, but wanted to play it flexible for the tail end of the trip in Scottsdale/PHX. We do want to visit Taliesin and were curious how difiicult it is to book a tour at the last minute. Should we chance it, or book something now?
Thanks for any info.

Last summer we just walked in and bought tickets for the next tour which involved waiting maybe 10 minutes in the gift shop area. It was easy and convenient. Don't know if it will be much more crowded in Oct. I would suggest NOT waiting until close to closing time in case the last tour is booked. Of course a phone call may put you at ease but I couldn't guarantee that they might "encourage" you to buy tickets in advance when it isn't necessary.

We, too, walked in and bought our tickets.

I don't think it's necessary to buy the tickets in advance.

By the way, we enjoyed the tour VERY much!

We were there in April a couple of years ago, called in the morning, and had trouble getting tickets for the same day.

We were there in April as well. Tours seemed to run about every 15 minutes or so. It was quite easy to just show up and buy tickets right there. Great tour! Enjoy it.

Thanks for your responses. I think we'll we wait until we're in AZ and try to book a day or two ahead of time. We're really looking forward to the tour!
