taking the toll road CA-74

Hi all,
I am new at this, will be driving this afternoon to see circus varags. the maps I am getting is to get off the 5 at Oso Pkwy and then take a long road to Ortega Hwy. There is also the CA-74. Can I take that? It's a toll road but it should be Ok, right? Just wondering why the maps would not have me go there.
Any tips?
thanks!

Although you may have already figured this out, the toll roads in southern California are only for those holding electronic passes. There are no toll plazas where you can pay a one time toll. That's probably why the map didn't have you go that way.

There are toll plazas on all the toll roads except for the 91.
I believe you mean the 73 not 74. Cash is accepted on this road(4.50 at peak times?) The 73 is more scenic than the 5.

We took the 73 a couple years ago and paid cash for the toll. We were headed from LAX to San Diego at about 5:30 on a weekday afternoon - fun stuff - LOL. Hwy 73 was awesome.
