Taking a cruise from New Orleans.

My family will be taking a cruise from New Orleans in June, and we would like to spend a night at a hotel before departure near the port for less than $200. Any suggestions?

Try the Embassy Suites on Convention Center Blvd. It's very close.

You should get any hotel in N.O. for under $200 in June. Many under $100 in fact.

Best deal would be to bid for a hotel using priceline.com
First, check out the bulletin board, www.biddingfortravel.com
It will give you information on what hotels have people gotten and at what price, and will also help you fiqure out what you should start your bid at

I think it is the Monteleone that actually owns(or is partners) on one of the cruise ships. There were specials for people going the night before (or after)They bring your luggage to your stateroom (sounded convenient).
