Tahoe restaurant suggestions

We will be celebrating two big milestone birthdays this summer with a large family trip to Tahoe. We have rented a huge house in Incline Village for our group. There will be 16 of us. I am searching for suggestions for a fun, casual restaurant for a celebratory dinner. Not haute cuisine but maybe something with good food and a casual atmosphere on the Lake? Does something like this exist? Any thoughts?

Thank you

We go to Tahoe every summer. We are also staying at Incline. We always make a special trip to the West Shore Cafe for a lunch or dinner. The food is good to great, depending on the year, but I don't care. We love the setting. So beautiful.

Other places we like are Gar Woods and their sister restaurant Caliente. Right in Incline is the Lone Eagle Grill at the Hyatt, which we haven't tried.

Years ago, we went up to the Big Water Grille. It is up by the ski run and views are great. Not sure on the food or prices now. We may give it a shot this year.

We really liked Brooks Bar and Deck at South Shore, right by the lake and on a golf course.

I don't know if this is convenient to where you are staying, but we had a spectacular lunch at the Sunnyside, on their back deck overlooking the lake. I had an abalone sandwich that I still crave!

Harrah's has an awesome buffet on top of their hotel. Views and food selection are amazing, and with 16 people it might be a good option imo.

None of our regular restaurants in Tahoe are on the lake, but if you're interested anyway, Base Camp Pizza Co. in the Village has a great atmosphere for gatherings (try the salads), also Scusa (Italian restaurant, also good for parties if you're looking for a quieter/more intimate atmosphere), and our breakfast staple is Red Hut.

What? No recs for Garwoods and their famous "Wet Woody" cocktail? Or is that now "out of date"? Been a few years for me, but my Tahoe inlaws' favorite place.

Last time we were at Gar Woods a drunk patron assaulted my DH (with words and falling on him - literally - more than once until he was finally escorted out. So my memories of Gar Woods aren't as good as your in-laws :-)

Yummy Wet Woody! Caliente has their own version with tequila.

Sf7307, sorry, but clearly you don't understand the purpose of a Wet Woody. Lol

Thank you for all the suggestions. I will start exploring and seeing what makes sense for our group.
