Tahiti- Hotels
 
My boyfriend is planning a trip for <BR>us to Tahiti for our 1 year anniv. <BR>Does anyone have any suggestions on which <BR>hotel to stay in? We will be going the <BR>end of August for 2 wks. Thank you in advance! <BR>

Yes, you should post under Austrailia and the South Pacific. But since you have posted here, I will answer here. The hotel depends on which island you are going to. We went to Moorea last summer and loved it. Moorea is a darling little island 37 miles around and is everything you would imagine a South Pacific Island to me. We chose to stay at the Bali Hai. They have a website and I understand they are closed for renovations, so you would need to see when they are scheduled to reopen. There is also a new Sheraton there that has opened since we were there and they have been getting good reviews on the other board. We loved Moorea and would definitely return.

We stayed in Moorea at the Club Med because all the food is included. Food is very expensive in Moorea, so this is a big factor. The snorkeling and diving were excellent, as well as the general fun attitude of everyone. Beer and wine with lunch and dinner--nice touch!
