Sweet 16

I need a catering hall where I can throw my Sweet 16. Some place in Manhattan or Queens

How many people?

What is the budget?

Do you want a certain food?

Please supply details

Jenntinylee Jul 24th, 2009 03:09 PM

for about 100 people

the budget is about 5000

and cuisine doesn't matter

Is this just food? Assume there will be some adults and drinks may be necessary? Or is it just kids and soft drinks.

Don;t know any catering halls in Manhattan (although there are some I'm sure). If this is just a meal you would probably do better in a private room in a restaurant. Of if it's a lengthy party til late at night with music/dancing I assume those costs would all be extra.

Where will most people be coming from?

its going to be a two hour party (two hours because im throwing an after party) with a dj i dont think alcoholic beverages will be necessary.

everyone invited lives in either manhattan or queens

Have been to events at a couple of the above - and not while they're pleasant I'm not sure they fall within your budget range. However, the economy is bad at the moment and venues may be willing to simplify the fill their spaces. Definitely have all your ducks in a row before you contact them - since they specialize in offering a package you can afford and then offering all sorts of extras (which you really want) that can easily double the budget. (A cousin used to work for one of them in catering - and she was compensated in part based on how many extras she could sell.)

Check the back of the Zagat's blue guide there are listings for such places.
