Swamp tour?

We're from California, traveling to NOLA FQ at end-of-life August. Never seen a swamp. Any swamp tour recommendations? I've seen Cajun Swamp Tours and Swamp Tour Encounters. Thank you in advance!

I can't recall the name of the one I went on, but if you go in the morning, as I did, there's not too much activity. The swamp critters are more active when it's warmer, so I recommend noon or after for your tour time. Enjoy!

If you don't have a car, they'll pick you up in New Orleans. If you have a car, just drive out to them. Wife and kids did two tours with them, I did one - late afternoon, the critters come out and you'll see a ton.

BigRuss, do you know if that company absorbed what used to be known as Honey Island Swamp Tours? Just curious. It's been too many years since I've been there, but Honey Island was my favorite.

We took the Honey Island Swamp Tour in 2013. It was the wrong season (around Thanksgiving), too cold for a lot of wildlife, but very enjoyable nonetheless.

No clue. Just know that they go around Honey Island and that we liked them.
