WE are going to this town in February. Has anyone been there and what are some things to do in this area?

When I was growing up and for long after, Surprise was just an area of migrant workers and farms, mostly cotton. Now it is booming...lots of retirees, Sun City Grand, etc. It is west of Phoenix, but in the vicinity there is alot of golf, restaurants, theaters, sporting events, you'll have to drive a bit, but it's there. February should be a great time to be here.

Lots of MLB teams have spring training in this area. I know the TExas Rangers do. You could go to a game.

If you are into sports the Coyotes and the Suns will both be playing in Feb. Sedona is always worth the day trip. Mamma Mia is coming sometime in February. There is so much to do, it depends on what interests you. azcentral.com is a good website to help you see what the Phoenix area has going on.
