Surfing the Mid Atlantic from Cape Charles, VA to Ocean City, MA

Just moved here to the Eastern Shore of Virginia. I did not realize how landlocked I am here, but it seems to be an interesting surfing adventurer, at least potentially. Has anyone had any luck on the outer barrier islands here surfing?? ONe thing i don't like is all the rules around here. We can't even drop our jetski at the park near Fisherman's Island. I have seen great swell at Fisherman's Island. HAs anyone had any luck getting out there to surf.

That portion of the coastline is protected and to visit Fisherman's Island, you need a permit. You might want to cross the CBBT to Va Beach or drive up 13 to Assateague.

I think Birdie gives good advice.

Face facts: this is not Puerto Escondido and never will be. People down there think "surf" is up when there's a 2-foot wave.
