Supper at ATL

We are changing planes in Atlanta at supper time tomorrow. Do you have recomendations for something other than fast food in the airport?

Thanks!

Keith

There are sit down restaurants in the main concourse, and I think the other concourses (a, b, c, d, e) each have a sit down option (maybe not D). Here is the link to the airport and its restaurants. http://www.atlanta-airport.com/default.aspx

Unless you have several hours or more between flights, you don't have time to leave the airport to eat. There is not much in terms of dining in the neighborhood around the airport. You could take MARTA from the airport to downtown but you would need at least 4 hours to do so (time to get there and back, time to eat and time to go back through security).

My favorite (I actually get to the airport early to eat) is Paschal's for southern cooking. It's a food court option, but I love it. Wish I could have eaten at the famous Pachal's downtown.

My other favorite is Chili's - because I love their Presidente margaritas. :-) I usually go to the one upstairs at the A concourse, near the Delta Crown room. Take the escalator up one level. A lot of people don't know it's there.

Atlanta Bread Company or Houlihan's would be my other choices.

You can search by concourse if you like

Paschal's for fried chicken. Thanks!

The Chili's at O'Hare is a regular stop for me, but I look forward to a local restaurant instead.

Keith--You may know this, but the Paschal's in the food court in Concourse A in inside security. If you go to the one in the Atrium food court in the terminal, then you have to exit and reenter through security.

Starrs, have you been to Paschal's at Castleberry Hill? It's not exactly old Paschal's but it's a nice place and the food is mostly the same. http://www.paschalsrestaurant.com/castleberryhill.htm (sorry Keith for hijacking your thread)

Not at all padams.

If anyone is interested, we did eat at the airport Paschal's. I wish the chiken had been a little warmer but the food was good and the cobler was fab!

Here are some photos from our meal: http://www.mightymac.org/10floridatrip01.htm

Thanks for the link to the pictures.
BTW, you have an extra "r" in the link to Fodors. :-)

Glad you enjoyed Paschal's.

Of my 13 years living in ATL I never tried Pashals.. lol..

I've only eaten at the ones at the airport (atrium and A concourse)
I hate that I missed the opportunity to eat at the downtown location. It would have been walking in the footsteps of history.
I'm glad to know about the Castleberry Hill location. Thanks, padams.

Thanks for the heads up, Starrs.
