Sunset view restaurants Honolulu
 

Can anyone recommend a favorite restaurant in Honolulu or Waikiki with outdoor dining or great sunset views? Open to most kinds of foods!

A restaurant called Michel's a couple miles outside of Waikiki has the best view for sunset. There maybe restaurant with better food but not a better view. After the sun goes down you can watch Waikiki light up. Open air restaurant on a narrow beach.<BR>Can not beat the view.

Roy's has the most breathtaking view of the water and Ko Ko Head Cater!! The food is the best on the island too! It is away from the city near The Kahala Manderian and Sea Life Park. The resturent is indoors but windows surround the bay view. I liked the resturent better than Hoku's at the Kahala Manderian. Hoku's is also a very good resturent. It has a spectular beach view. It is located at the hotel. You can stop by and see the dolphins. It is a 5 diamond resturant.

I highly recommend the Hano Hano Room at the top of the Sheraton Waikiki. We had a very romantic dinner there last June. Call early for a reservation for sunset. It is a magical experience. There was a harpist playing when we were having dinner. Many of the tables are semi-circular so you can sit next to each other and both see the sunset. The food was just as good as the atmosphere. I had the chicken with morel mushroom sauce, it was incredibly good. Have fun!

There is an Ad. in the Entertainment book for a restaurant called 'Top of Waikiki' located in the Waikiki Business Plaza that claims to be "Hawaii's only revolving Restaurant w/ panoramic views of Oahu's shorelines and mountains."<BR><BR>The sunset view in the picture, w/ the Royal Hawaiian in the foreground, looks spectacular.

The BEST view of the sunset in Oahu is from a restaurant in which you don't have to spend a fortune, as a matter of fact, I'll put it up against any moderate or semi-exclusive restaurant. I just returned from a two week stay in Oahu, my favorite island, and I ate a good part of my dinners there, and it didn't cost me a fortune. The drinks were plentiful, and not expensive, the service was top notch, and the cooking was first rate, maybe because I did it myself, (along with many others). The name of the restaurant is The SHOREBIRD, in the Outrigger Reef Hotel. You get to cook your own steaks, lobster, fish, and what have you. It's a bunch of fun. The view of the sunset is spectacular from the bar or from your own table.What a bargain!

Aiiiiee...I fo'get the name! Maybe some of the locals can help me. It's a local restaurant/bar out near the marina off Sand Island Road. Took me back to my days in Tahiti. Same ambience. I had witnessed the most gorgeous winter sunset there with a tall MaiTai in hand....

I love John Dominis between Honolulu and Waikiki just west of Fisherman's Wharf.

The outdoor pu-pu bar (House Without A Key) at the Halekulani is really nice at sunset. You can get a meal or appetizers, listen to live Hawaiian music, and watch the hula dancer.

We did just this, unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating. I have family in Oahu and they took us to the New Otani Hotel for a sunset dinner. Ask for a table on the Lanai, under the tree. You are at a perfect angle for the sunset. The food is wonderful, entrees in the $20-$30 range.

The restaurant, whose name escapes me, at the Halekulani is spectacular. The food, the open air, the view. <BR>It is very expensive though.
