Which rim is better for viewing the sunset at the Grand Canyon ? - South Rim or North Rim ?

I love the South Rim. Was the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen. Even moreso than the ones I've seen in Hawaii (and that's saying something

I did time lapse movies for both sunrise and sunset - both from the South Rim.

I haven't looked at the north rim area in a few years - is there lodging close by? Quite a drive otherwise.
