Sunday Brunch Suggestions
 

Am looking for Sunday Jazz Brunch suggestions. Heard that Mr. B's/Court of Two Sisters is good--can anyone elaborate? Have been to Commander's Palace and was not impressed. Any other suggestions gratefully accepted!

I went to the Court of Two Sisters. The food spread was incredibly impressive. Personally I have never seen that much food in one place at one time. It ranged from breakfast type stuff -- ham, biscuits, eggs, belgian waffles, flapjacks, grits -- to lunch type stuff -- crawfish etoufee, boiled crawfish, meats and cheeses, salads, other fish. And it wasn't just quantity but also high quality. They also had excellent coffee and mimosas. The atmosphere was very nice, we ate in a lovely garden, courtyard. My only disappointment was the jazz part of the jazz brunch. They had a trio, and they were pretty good. but as far as I could tell they took more break time than play time. In the 2 hours we were there, I'd be surprised if they actually played an entire hour. <BR> <BR>I haven't been to any of the other Sunday brunches in NO, but I would highly recommend Court of Two Sisters.

I've heard that the Palace Cafe has a good brunch. I haven't personally been, but my neighbor loves it. I would not recommend Court of Two Sisters - last time I was there, I thought it was way overpriced for the food they served. I mean - it's a lot of food and you can eat forever, but it just wasn't that great.

Try the House of Blue's Gospel Brunch. Good food and Great atmosphere!!!! <BR>

I'm with Beth-I thought Court of Two Sisters had a great brunch (its everyday actually, not just Sunday). If you go later, towards lunch time, they put out the lunch foods along with the breakfast foods. Shellfish, pasta, meats, fruits, desserts and the best bread pudding! Have some mimosas and sit out in the courtyard if possible. <BR> <BR>Make sure you have reservations-we weren't able to get in one day when we dropped by. <BR> <BR>By the way, I thought Commander's was overrated and expensive.

My vote is for Mr. B's ....i think they have the best gumbo in New Orleans.
