Sunday brunch in New Orleans

Can anyone suggest a great New Orleans restaurant for Sunday brunch. I've heard about Commander's Palace. Anything else? Maybe a jazz brunch.

I thought the jazz brunch at Court of Two Sisters was excellent and I think they have it every day because we went there twice in the 5 days we were there. I was totally underwhelmed by Commander's but the people we were with said that it was much better the first time they went.

Breakfast (or brunch) at BRENNAN'S is a New Orleans tradition. Also, ANTOINE'S often is the scene of special-occasion breakfasts or brunches. Both located in the Quarter.

Brennan's Restaurant, 417 Royal Street, (504) 525-9711

Antoine's, 714 Rue Louis, (504) 581-4422

I haven't been the Commander's Palace, but if I wanted brunch, I'd try it before I'd return to Brennan's, which does not have particularly good food. And in New Orleans, why settle?

We also had a lovely jazz brunch at the Court of Two Sisters. Our server had a delightful sense of humor and was most attentive. The music was also great. We would highly recommend it. However, be prepared to spend a couple of hours being tempted and enjoying all the delicious food. We felt it was an excellent choice.

Another thumbs down from me regarding brunch at Brennans. A huge and expensive disappointment between mediocre food, overpriced items and lack of attentive service. The coffee was good!
My dinner at Brennans was excellent and only outdone for dinner by Commanders Palace.
Court of 2 sisters is charming atmosphere but can't speak personally as to the brunch.

I'll chip in another positive vote for brunch at the Court of Two Sisters. THe food was wonderful, and I admit I've never seen so MUCH food in my entire life. The atmosphere was charming and the service good. My only minor complaint the day we were there, the jazz trio seemed to spend more time on break than actually playing.

I've heard the gospel brunch at the House of Blues is pretty good. I went to the one at the House of Blues in Cambridge Mass and it was a lot of fun, although the food wasn't great. I would guess the one in New Orleans does a better job with the food.

We felt totally ripped off by our dinner at Brennan's. Would never go there again, nor would I ever recommend it.
