Sunday Brunch in Carmel CA

I looked around the board and can't find specific info regarding a really really good Sunday brunch in the Carmel, CA area. I'd like an ocean view and seafood on the menu. Price doesn't matter.

Anyone have a recommendation?

Roy's at Pebble Beach meets your requirements. Ocean view, seafood and all around good food and service. That's the only place I've ever been to brunch in that area, though, I'm sure there are other places.

Thanks Monica, Roy's was on my list.

My first choice would be Pacific's Edge in the Highlands Inn at the north edge of Big Sur in Carmel. I know they serve lunch during the week--pretty sure they serve Sunday Brunch. call 831-622-5445 well ahead for reservations.

FYI - Just called Roy's at Pebble Beach and they don't have a brunch any longer. Lunch starts at 11:30 on Sunday.

do not go to the Mission Inn. The food is unspectacular for brunch, and service is borderline rude.

I so disagree with previous poster-
My husband and 2 friends who own a restaurant went to sunday brunch at Mission Inn and are still talking about it.- outdoor dining that looks out onto a field with sheep and the ocean off in the distance- tall eucalyptus trees all around and then after a 2 hour brunch we visited the old mission which was surprisingly soulful and lovely.
I strongly recommend the Mission Inn for a relaxed and pleasant brunch
- we are going again next month.
hve fun!

The Highlands Inn offers a spectacular view of the ocean--and the food is good, too. I was very impressesd at being served a bowl of brown sugar to accompany my porridge.

I have to also disagree with the above poster regarding the MISSION INN. We live in Pacific Grove and go there frequently for lunch and dinner. I have never had bad service or bad food. The view from the outdoor patio is great. Don't always take one person's opinion on a place. It can sometimes be misleading.

ROCKY POINT, about 12 miles south of Carmel on Hwy 1 will also have a great view for lunch. You can sit outside and enjoy a great ocean view.

I forgot to suggest The Tuck Box, a charming little English place that specializes in griddle scones. Yummy!

Pacific's Edge! Pacific's Edge!

Drop dead _gorgeous_ views over the craggy cliffs, to the ocean (as long as there is no fog...sigh...), and exquisite buffet. Pricey, but well worth it.

My first choice was Roy's; sorry to hear they've discontinued Sunday Brunch at that lovely location.

The original post was long ago, I wonder where Red ended up having brunch in Carmel? LOL ***kim*** :)
