Sun River or Park City

Hi all,

I would love any thoughts on Sun River versus Park City. We’re looking for 3-4 days of golf, hikes, bikes and restaurants in mid June.

Thank you!

We have been to Sunriver dozens of times and love it. Mid June though can still be a bit chilly, if that matters to you and many of the nearby trails will still have snow.

Thank you! Do people live there permanently or is the entire place a resort? I’m not exactly sure what to expect other than what is on the website.

Snow still in Oregon? Well that could make up my mind! Lol We don’t mind chill as all but are not looking for snow. 😉 I’ll take a look at the at the weather charts

Yes Sunriver is a resort, but there are many people that live there permanently.

Yes, snow is very common on mountain hiking trails even into June. Even into July depending on the trail.

I can't comment on Park City. I have a vacation home in Sunriver. Can we get snow in mid June? Yes, normally in the higher elevations. That said, there are many trails for hiking and biking that will not have snow. There are many people that live in the Sunriver area full time. We have a post office, elementary school and public library just outside the resort boundary.
