Sun highway in Glacier park now open24/7
 

As of this morning the Going to the sun highway is now open 24/7 until winter shuts it down.
Just about ALL of the park is now open.
Time to hike the High line trail and see what mother nature did!!!

John, You mentioned taking the Highline Trail to see the damage. I took this trail to Swiftcurrent Pass and down into Many Glacier the first part of July. Can you suggest any other areas to visit so can get comparsion photos? Any word on Granite chalet? Many thanks

Granite Chalet has reopened however the loop trail is still closed due to the proximity of the Trapper creek fire. So to reach the chalet you must hike from Logan pass and return the same way. The chalet has begun accepting guest as of Saturaday(9 August) though without prior reservations I doubt if you can get in.

Just reread your post and my answer. Sorry no I can't suggest any comparsions as I haven't hiked since the fire. Try the web site . I'm sure the park will give you suggestions on photos to compare.
