Sun. Brunch in NYC
We will be going to Tavern on the Green for Sunday brunch in Nov. What is the best time for this. I will be making reservations and didn't know what time would be the best for people watching and atmosphere since that is our goal and not so much the food.
Thanks!

I would not consider TOG a great people watching place. It's heavily skewed to tourists plus some locals often celebrating a special occasion, often with children in tow. So, it's a pretty spot but I'd get there on the early side (12-12:30) for brunch to get a good table & decent service before it gets too crowded. For people watching I'd choose Balthazar, Blue Water Grill or Pastis. For just a pretty atmosphere & a good brunch I'd pick Provence in Soho or Capsouto Freres in Tribeca.

We ate at Tavern On The Green last Sunday. Our reservations were for 1pm and we got seated about 1:20 in the Crystal Room (very pretty). Service was very slow but the food was good. We ordered a small cake for our 35th Anniversary and they charged us $30.00.
Love that New York experience! Make you reservations soon.

Hi
It is called the Terrace at the Stanhope, I believe. We had brunch there a few years ago when friends were in from Europe. We all enjoyed it very much.
Here is their site with a photo of the Terrace:http://www.ceotraveler.com/ceo7/stanhope.html
