Summit, NJ

If there is anyone familiar with Summit , NJ, could you let me know about parking near the train station (price, area, safety).

Thanks

Why are you driving to Summit? I don't know about the price. Parking at the train station should be safe enough, but you may have to be a town resident to park there. Otherwise, street parking should also be safe enough, just watch for signs.

hi! not sure if you're still interested but Summit has parking (at the broad street parking garage)- non-residents pay 5.00 per day. it's quite safe I've walked to my car alone late at night with no worries! hope that helps

I need more Summit help:
We ned a hotel near Summit to stay at. There is the Grand Summit, but it is booked and out of our price range. Can someone suggest a hotel near summit, possibly along the highway (HoJo/Holiday Inn quality).

There are multiple hotels in various price ranges just near Newark Airport, which is about 15 to 20 minutes from Summit (depending on traffic.)

I believe there is both a Holiday Inn and a HoJo. A bit closer, although more expensive, is the Hilton at Short Hills. It's less than 7 minutes from Summit.

If you're looking for a HoJo's or the like you're best going to their website and doing a search close to Summit. All hotels in & around that area a as expensive if not more (The Short Hills Hilton is v. expensive). The Summit Hotel is way overpriced but since there's not much to choose from in the town people stay there. Newark International is v. close to Summit - I agree that may be your best bet. good luck!
