"Suites" at Hampton Inn & Suites?

Are the "suites" at Hampton Inn & Suites real suites, or are they faux suites? I'm wondering if they actually have two separate rooms with a door separating them like at Embassy Suites, or if they're those slightly larger rooms with a half wall dividing the "bedroom" and the "living room" that some chains have. Or does it vary from location to location?

I'd appreciate info from those who have stayed in their suites; I've stayed in standard rooms at Hamptons many times, but have never had a suite.

It all varies but usually there isn't a door.

Not two separate rooms with a door in my experience. That may not be true of every Hampton, but I'll bet two separated rooms is rare.
Call the specific hotel you're considering and ask.

call the hotel 800 # and ask if there's a door. That answers it. I'm finding more and more hotels call one big area with a partition a jr suite or even suite so I always ask about the DOOR.
