Suggestions on places to visit in May

We are 4 adults and a 8 month old in Texas. Any suggestions about places to visit?
We like natural beauty. We like Colorado a lot but I think it may have unpredictable weather in May. We are having similar thoughts about the mid west Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance.

are you driving or flying?

That's a very open-ended question. How far are you willing to travel? What kind of weather would you prefer?

We are open to both driving or flying. We would not prefer very cold weather for my 8 month old son. Warmer/nicer/cooler climates are the best. We are thinking about California but have already been to SFO a couple of times.

Head over to New Mexico. Santa Fe, Taos, Bandelier NM, in the north or Carlsbad Caverns, White sands, etc in warmer areas, although Santa Fe won't be cold in May.

Your 8 year old will not care where you are.

What about Chicago? Fantastic town!

I suggest you rent a condo so you will not be held hostage to your son's schedule.

The Alabama Gulf Coast is nice. It's a very beautiful area, and there are lots of hiking trails with lots of natural beauty and wildlife. This is a good web site to check out: www.thebeachiscalling.org.
