suggestions needed for Gulfport/biloxi/mobile/road trip
 

We are planning a trip in January to Mobile, AL for a softball event.
Flying into Gulfport, MS and driving to Mobile; any suggestions on things to do/places to check out on our way there? family of 4, including 2 teens.
Any universities close by that we can stop by? good restaurants?

Sorry I am late to the party cibel2000. Not sure if you did this but if not, next time you are on the Gulf of Mississippi you can check the Biloxi Lighthouse, The Beau Rivage Casino, and the Friendship Oak at Southern Mississippi. Here is a video of our trip:
