Suggestions for Thanksgiving Dinner in Chicago
 

Ok...We weren't planning on doing the traditional Thanksgiving dinner here (long story) but now we are and I need some suggestions for places to go. We are staying at the Westin on the Mag. Mile but are willing to travel a bit if it's worth it.
Also, do Giordano's restaurants deliver? Wondering if we could have a pizza delivered the night we arrive at our hotel.

The few times we've stayed in town for Thanksgiving recently, we've had dinner at the Great Street restaurant in the Renaissance hotel, and we were very happy with it (also kid friendly). It is a nice room with big windows that look out over the river. The Renaissance is at State/Wacker, so a bit further away -- probably a cab ride. We've usually combined that with a walk down State afterwards to burn off some of the food and see the windows at Marshall Field's.

Have had many T-Day dinners in Chicago. We used it as a family meeting spot for many years. Favorite place no longer open (German-american restaurant called Scheulins in vicinity of Wrigley Field it think) but more recently had memorable dinners at Ditka's restaruant. Food was great, but it was crowded and noisy and the very seniors in the group didn't like the noise. They had this stuffed turkey, apparently a southern or New Orleans specialty that was great, also fried turkey. Another delicious dinner was at The Palms, more famous for steaks, but they cooked a good turkey dinner. There is lots to do on T-Day itself. There is a fun parade down State Street (I think that's the street) and some musueums and maybe the Shedd Aquarium are actually open.

my husband & I have spent several Thanksgivings in Chicago - most recently we made reservations for brunch/dinner at The Drake - I don't remember the pricing but it was worth it. Request a seat by a window and BE SURE you get a name when you make your reservation and you call a few days ahead and confirm your reservation. My reservation was lost the first year, but they put me ahead of the line and gave me and hubby complimentary champage until our table was available.

Would casual clothes be ok at the Bistro 110 or the Signature?
