Suggestions for REALLY good food in Ft. Lauderdale.
We will be in Ft. Lauderdale next week 10/11 and would like to eat good. Can you suggest restaurants in the Ft. Lauderdale and nearby areas. We were disappointed with the restaurants on the River Walk and Los Olas. You guys are always right on the money. We loved your suggestions a few years back regarding Anthonys brick oven pizza. We go there every trip. Thanks!

One of my favorites is Blue Moon Fish Company in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea...outstanding! http://www.bluemoonfishco.com/
For something more casual, I also like Aruba Beach Cafe right up the street (it's directly on the beach, and also has multiple bars and a lively crowd). |
We love Himmarshee Bar & Grille
210 SW 2nd St. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301-1822 954-524-1818 |
River House (near but not part of River Walk). Ask for a table overlooking the water. www.theriverhouse.com, I think

Nope, sorry -- its www.ftlauderdaleriverhouse.com

Franco & Vinnies, Il Mulino, Sunfish Grill, Kyojgin Sushi Buffet (sp) Seasons 52, Bonefish Grill, Samba room to name a few.

Very very casual but enjoyed The Sundowner Saloon every time I have been there.
Good food and fun atmopshere |

I've been going to Ft Lauderdale for the past 5 winters and have to say, I don't think there is really good food there! There is a lot of mediocre food.

Fish, on the 17th St. Causeway is really nice. Bistro Mezzaluna is also on the 17th St. Causeway and is consistantly good. Cafe Martorano has no menus, Mob music in the background, no reservations and top notch food.
