Suggestions for a Monday in Wilmington DE area?

We're going up to Chadds Ford for four days for a short anniversary trip, and to see Longwood Gardens and Winterthur, arriving Saturday and leaving Tuesday. I had originally planned for Winterthur on Sunday and Longwood on Monday, but then discovered that the illuminated fountain show at Longwood was only Thursday - Saturday. So we're going to leave Richmond earlier on Saturday so we can go to Longwood, then go to Winterthur on Sunday. This change of plans leaves Monday free. We don't want to do any art museums, and don't want to go too far afield. Anyone have any suggestions for something to do on Monday other than maybe some shopping or a movie? Thanks.

The Hagley is another du Pont property, the original home to the family and the beginnings of its industrial enterprise in the US.

>>Located on 235 acres along the banks of the Brandywine, Hagley is the site of the gunpowder works founded by E.I. du Pont in 1802. This example of early American industry features indoor and outdoor exhibitions, including restored mills, a workers community, and the ancestral home and garden of the du Pont family.

The Brandywine Art Museum is sooooo amazing and small and easily seen. But if you really don't want art----is the odd little Museum in Chadds Ford that is "up the street" from the art museum still open? It has all the pieces from what was basically a hoarder's house, but it is really cool stuff--like a piece of tile from Eva Braun's bathroom, Andrew Wyeth doodles, etc etc. We always loved it. Is the winery still there in Chadds Ford?

I am also a big fan of Delaware Park. You can have a lot of fun there over a few hours between racing and the casino.

There is also some good short hikes in the area and Wilmington has some nice food options, too.

If it were baseball season you could check for a Blue Rocks game!
