Suggestions for 3 day rafting trip in early June/

Looking for suggestions on where a father/teenaged son could go for a 3 day rafting trip the first weekend of June. I've seen a lot of half or full day trips advertised but they'd like to do something longer. We live in the midwest so travel to either coast is about the same. has anyone gone on such a trip, good experiences or bad? Thanks

You might want to go to the Idaho state website and look at the Salmon River.

A friend of mine went on a trip with O.A.R.S. a couple of years ago. He said it was the most fun he had ever had, and recommended it highly for my family of boys. Their website is www.oars.com

thanks - I'll check these out. I've heard of trips through the grand canyon as well and will try to find info on those.

If you the Grand Canyon is booked up (which it very well may be), also try Cataract Canyon, which starts in Moab. It's spectacular as well. I took a 1 day trip, but Cataract is often run as a 3+ day trip. Try www.navtec.com. Have fun!

Best rafting on the east coast (IMO) is the New or Gulley Rivers in WV. Plenty of overnight trips.
