Suggestion for Good Ghost Tour in New Orleans
 

I know NOLA is known for hauntings, vampires, ghosts and the like. Any great and/or bad experiences with a particular tour group? Anyone been on one at night?

All the ghost tours run at night and there are multiple companies that offer them. I can't believe there's much difference between one and the other, but when I worked as a concierge I recommended Haunted History or Bloody Mary. There's also Gray Line, NO Ghost Tour and a few others.

I work for a corporate travel provider and the company we always recommend in the New Orleans Ghost Tour. I believe Dan also mention them in his post. Their guides are very knowledgable and everyone there is friendly and willing to work with any special needs or requests we've thrown at them. Here are two websites you can get info from:

I mentioned them but don't care for their employees advertising the tour on various sites. Because of this, I preferred other companies.

I would advise against the NO Ghost Tour. I've heard very unflattering things about their abrasive tactics, theatrical tour guides, and misinformation. And GatorLady, I'm not sure when you last recommended the Morgue (which used to be connected to the NO Ghost Tour), but it's been closed for months.

Susan, the "theatrical tour guide" in question is no longer with the New Orleans Ghost Tour.

Alicia, just about all the ghost tours in New Orleans are offered at night.

My buddies and I have tried 2 of those ghost tours. The first time we bought tickets for the New Orleans Ghost Tour that you are all debating about. Our guide's name was Charles. Had a great time. This guy made learning fun which surprized me when I heard him mention he had a degree in history. We were thinking Oh No! The next time we decided to try something different and we bought tickets for the Historic New Orleans Walking Tour. Our guide's name was Robert and he was on the boring side. Informative yes but it was like listening to a college lecture class. Some people might like that kinda thing. I did find it interesting that both tours started from different Irish pubs. Weird coincidence I guess. Well that's my opinion on this subject!

KC, on another thread tonight GatorLady spelled advertising with a "z". You posted "surprised" with a "z". Is this some new cool spelling that I haven't heard about?? Twice in one night!
