Suggest clean, reasonable place to stay in Dwntn Seattle

I have a place (Seattle) on Union near the water, but need a place to stay the night before, Need to keep my expenses down, and wanted to be in close proximity to the other place, to quickly switch the next morning, but want safe and clean.

What price range?

Do you mean Union (street)? If yes, at what address or cross street.

Or you mean a place on Lake Union?

And if on Lake Union... where? South Lake Union, Eastlake, Westlake, Fremont (all border the lake).

4 Seasons on Union Street, and need to keep the place under $100/nt.

Your best bet is the Red Lion on 5th Avenue, but it will be a little more than $100. I found $133 mid-week on the AAA discount.

For under $100, check out the Moore Hotel and Executive Hotel Pacific.

All these places are within four blocks of the Four Seasons.

The new 4Seasons hotel is on 1st Avenue.

The only hotel I'm aware of downtown that has rates under $100 is the Moore Hote... not that I'm recommending it, just saying. There are a few hostels as well in that price range (City hostel, 6th Avenue Inn, etc.)

When? Is this in conjunction with your (July?) trip?

Makes a huge difference due to pressure from the boat people.

Sixth Avenue Inn is a decent motel in a good downtown location that can have rates under $100 but it definitely depends on when your trip is. It's less than 10 blocks from the Four Seasons.

Rack rate for singles is $99 (you might be able to do better), including breakfast. An international, friendly atmosphere. Great view from the lounge. Caveats: shared baths, no parking.

Also, the rooms are very basic. However, if it's just one night, that shouldn't matter too much.

How well does Priceline work for downtown Seattle? What hotels usually come up?
