Subway

I'm going to be in New York next week and have to get eight people from Columbus Circle subway station to Postmasters on West 19th Street. Does anyone know which subway route to take and what is the nearest line to West 19th?
(I'm a taxi girl at heart!)
Thanks

The 1 or 9 train to 18th St. (and 7th Av).

Sounds like a job for the 1 or 9, which will drop you at 7th Ave. and 18th Street. If you need to be further west, the A stops at 14th St. & 8th Ave., and the C, stops at 23rd and 8th. All are accessible from Columbus Circle.

Postmasters is on 19th near 10th Avenue. A #1 or #9 will get you to 7th Avenue and 18th Street and then there is a 1/2 mile walk to 19th and 10th. A C train will get you to 8th and 14th - an even longer walk to 10th. Your best best is two taxis - won't cost much more than subway fare for 8. Subway fare for 8 is $12. Cost of two taxis with tip will be around $16 unless you get caught in exceptionally heavy traffic. If you decide on the taxi walk over to 9th to get a taxi
