Stuff to do in Tampa this weekend...

I leave Saturday and want to take a drive to see something interesting.
We are not much into museums, art, aquariums, zoos or amusements.
I just want to drive somewhere picturesque, maybe walk a little on the beach, feed the birds.
I don't like crowds.
We like to cover a lot of ground, see a lot of stuff.
We like little, walkable, pretty towns with good shopping.
We have been to Tampa, Clearwater and Fort DeSoto and Tarpon Springs.
Looking on a map only confuses me more.
Any suggestions?

Well...if you don't like museums, aquariusm, zoos or amusements, Tampa proper is not for you. Have you been to Siesta or Casey Key? Or any of the Longboat/Sarasota area. But, you will find a good amount of people.

I was thinking that the Sarasota area may be nice for the longer day.
What's the best area for shopping... not mall shopping, more like a walkable area with gift, art and collectable shops.
Where's a nice park to feed seagulls?
Is 789 from Bradenton to Sarasota scenic?
Maybe we will start the day in Clearwater and drive to 275 and then make our way to 789.
Is this a good or bad drive?

This is more of what to avoid in Tampa this weekend - the Gasparilla Distance Classic is this weekend which means Bayshore Blvd will be closed. Also, the State Fair opens this weekend so the area around the fairgrounds near I-4 and I-75 will be congested.

Caladesi and Honeymoon islands would fit the bill for picturesque and uncrowded beaches and a scenic drive (and ferry ride) to get there. Dunedin is a nice walkable little town. I can't shake the feeling that the original post is a joke, but here are two ideas anyway.
