strange error messages

Anyone else getting a weird error message on the board last night/ this morning?

Bokhara Sep 22nd, 2005 04:40 AM

Yes, I'm getting the "This page cannot be displayed" message. Disappears when I "Enter" a couple of times.

P_M Sep 22nd, 2005 04:41 AM

I thought it was just me, but I'm getting that too.

Same here. I keep getting "this page cannot be displayed"

starrsville Sep 22nd, 2005 04:49 AM

I can't remember what mine actually says, but it's along the lines of being kicked off the page. I'm glad it's just not me.

Unhandled exception thrown from/forums

Happened on my pc and now my laptop. Very strange.

After I try to post this reply, I got the "this page can not be displayed".

It appears I'm getting two types of error messages. Wonder if Peter Kay is mad at me?

donco Sep 22nd, 2005 04:52 AM

Same here with something "kicked off". I had just deleted a bunch of internet stuff so thought I had done it! Maybe Fodors is "redecorating"!

This is what appeared in United States title:

Got another jsp:10 on replying. Expect Fodors is doing something but are there any computer aces amongst the travellers???

One of our 3 servers died -- so you ahve a 1/3 chance of getting that error message. We're working on it...

Thanks for letting us know, Peter!

I suppose this confirms you really are "Fodors" and not a troll. :-)

"One of our 3 servers died"

Phew - I am soooo glad. Not happy that you are having server problems, but glad there is an explanation.

I had assumed some new programming was migrated in and caused this problem. That is what usually happens -- in the middle of the night Fodors implements some changes and then everything is screwed up until they back it out or fix it.

So sorry to learn of the passing of one of your servers. Please extend our condolences to the head waiter.
