Store with Hawaiian Chicks in kauai???
I thought I wrote it down but can't find it now. What store in Kauai has the stuffed animal chicks with aloha shirts on? I think it was Bill that was talking about this store.

Here you go A'24..my friend Billy must not have seen your question..

The name of the store is Jacqueline on Hawaii in Hanapepe. The article that i2 posted has her phone number. I'm going to call her tomorrow to see if she is going to be at the Koloa Plantation days festival after the parade on July 30th selling her wares.

Thanks! I will definately stop by her shop on our trip...unfortunately I won't be there in July like Bill...But I'll be close on his heels (early August)!

What happens at Koloa Plantation Days festival?
|
What happens to me is that I spend way too much money and eat way too much!
Here is the link to this year's schedule. http://www.koloaplantationdays.com/ I attended one of the cooking demonstrations which was fun. There is a parade on Saturday followed by a crafts, music and food festival at the baseball park. This is where I had the most delicious malasadas. Hot, sweet and melt-in-your-mouth onolicious. Very fun! 33 more days! ((R)) -Bill |
Ashley,
I tried that phone number for JOH that is in the article and it did not work. I tracked down an old business card, called the number and found out that she no longer has a shop in Hanapepe, but works out of her house, which is in Hanapepe. Here is the phone number 808-335-9911. I traded e-mails with her. She sounded a bit scattered, and said that she is low on fabric..etc..etc. She said that we could pick up fabric and she would make us shirts and shorts. We're going to give her a pass this time around. She did mention that End of the Rainbow in Wainiha has the chicks though. Thought I should let you know since I was the one that told you about her in the first place. 7 to go! -Bill |
ONLY 7!!??!!
I wanted to get a review out before you leave Bill, but it doesn't look poss. Shoot over an eeeemail and I'll share my HO w/ the abbreviated skinny... makaiguard-alohaatyahoodotcom Soon to be aloha for you! ((R)) There's just somethin' about Hanalei that keeps you dreamin'... |
Bill,
Thanks for letting me know. I will look for the other store during our trip. Darn! I put Jackie's store on our Scavenger Hunt! No one will ever find that one! Happy Hunting! :) 10 days to go for us! Sorry we won't be able to join you on the GTG since we are going to the BI first. Maybe next time! |
makai1,
Thanks! I sent a message to that address, but it bounced back. My address is: [email protected] What a nice person you are! -Bill |
By the way, where exactly is Wainiha? I looked in the Blue Book index and it mentions a Wainiha beach near Haena. Is that it?
|
I think the shop is on the mauka side of the road a little after Waiainha Beach, but I'm not entirely sure. I remember seeing something around that part of the road. If you see a white Sebring convertible cruising up and down that part of the highway it will be us in search of chicks. HAHAHAHA. :-"
-Bill |
Wainiha is easy to spot -- after Hanalei, it's the only place with a store (tiny) on the mauka (inland) side of the narrow 2-lane road.
Beautiful downtown Wainiha! 8-) |
i luv wainiha. if i win the lottery i will buy property there!
|
Bill,
LOVE your "searching for chicks" comment! LOL! The store owner is going to wonder why there is such a sudden interest in chicks! If they only knew! |
