Stopover from Washington, DC to Cape Cod
 

We're driving from Washington, DC to Cape Cod for a vacation this summer. We'll most likely leave Washington just after rush hour (7:00 pm) on a Tuesday and we're looking for a good place to stop over for the night. We hope to drive for around 5 hours on Tuesday and leave a few hours for driving on Wednesday morning so that we can get to Cape Cod fairly early in the day. I've heard Providence is a decent place to stop, but I think it's a bit too far to travel that distance on Tuesday night. Any recommendations of places to stop along the way? We probably won't have a lot of time to stop and look around, but we hope the place will be clean and convenient. Thanks a lot!
