Stomp at the Orpheum

I'm interested in seeing Stomp but don't know what are the 'best seats'. When I go to ticketmaster.com and click on the 'best seats available' box....I get something in the Orchestra section. But then if I go back and look at the prices differences between the Orchestra and the Balconey....they are the same price.

Bottom line: which is better the balconey or the orchestra?

We have seen Stomp 3 times!! Once you see it you want to take friends, and so we did:)
We always sit in the balcony. You will see why:)
(clue) dust,water,bits and pieces...
Have a great time!

If you're talking about the Orpheum in Memphis...you can go to their website and they have a "virtual tour" of the theater. You can "sit" in a seat in each section (main, balcony, orch, etc). This may give you a better idea of what you want. I'm not exactly sure what the URL is...I think I found it through memphis.citysearch.com
The whole theater has pretty good seats. We went and saw the Prairie Home Companion there about a year ago and were in the nosebleeds, but they were still pretty good seats.

Make sure you eat at either Blues City Cafe or BB Kings before or after the show (or both)

Would someone please tell what type of play "Stomp" is. I notice that it is also playing in Biloxi, Miss. and I was interested in going. Is it a lot of singing and dancing. If so, what kind of dancing. It sounds like fun. Thanks for your help.

Just another opinion, I did not enjoy stomp at all.

The point of the show is that they use regular household tools to make interesting harmonic "music". I thought it was overpriced and boring.

Brenda -- it's a little hard to describe Stomp. It's a troupe of players who create percussion-type sounds and rhythm with their bodies/props/etc. More like a revue than a play, but I don't think the type of "dance" can really be categorized. You really have to experience it. I've seen it twice and thoroughly enjoyed it.

It is all about PERCUSSION.
Stomping, banging, clanging, stamping, slamming, thumping, while keeping rhythm, and making the audience laugh.
It is enjoyable,fun and noisy.
