Staying at the W French Quarter and Meridian

We will be in NOLA for three nights, staying at the W French Quarter and one night at LeMeridian. My husband is under medical care and his endurance/walking are not great. We can do some things. I know there are tons of great restaurants, and from what I've read Sobou in our hotel is fantastic. What I'm looking for are suggestions for the immediate area of our hotels that will be do-able for him. We will not have a car, but we have used Uber. Is that a good option for New Orleans, in case we want to go to something a little farther away?

Just time for a quick comment right now (expecting company any second) but one way you can get around that won't tire out your DH too much is using pedicabs.

Just be sure to check with your hotel before you set out on the streets to make sure any place you are going is in a safe area for walking or if a cab is necessary - esp after dark.

There's a very nice restaurant called Restaurant R'evolution, which is on Bienville between Royal and Bourbon. We ate at the bar and had some wonderful food!

Also - about 1-1/2 blocks down Chartres toward Jackson Square is the FQ Camelia Grill - a real NO treat. Great breakfasts, served all day long, along with other options.

On Bourbon, bewteen Bienville and Conti, is Remoulade - which is the casual restaurant associated with Arnoud's. Casual - but great food.

That's a start. If I think of anything else - I'll let you know.

I checked into R'evolution - wow, looks amazing! Death by Gumbo, lol. Remoulade looks good too. Don't know if we'd be up to waiting in the heat for Camillia Grill though. Thanks for the tips!

Maggi - the crowd at Camilia Grill comes and goes. We lucked in on a Sunday (Jazz Fest weekend) and only had a 5 minute wait.
