Staying at the Kiahuna
Hello, I'm wondering if any anyone has stayed at the Kiahuna Plantation Condominiums on Kauai lately? What did you think of it?

Hi Lynn,
See my recent posting under Big Island/Kauai Trip. Let me know if I can answer any specific questions. Laurie

We stayed there last year and our trip was extended due to 9/11. It's the most
gorgeous place in Poipu (for the money).
Only downside is no pool altho we would
sneak over to the Sheraton's beachside
pool and would occasionally get the boot. The location can't be beat!

Strongly recommend Roy's across the street for a wonderful dining experience. We say Nicholas Cage there once. Also, The restaurant at Kiahuna is an old plantation house redone and we really enjoyed it. They have incredible gardens, including a succulent garden that I still can't believe. Very quiet resort, excellent for families-NO Airconditioning, but you really don't need it unless you are going during a particularily humid time.

I've stayed at the Kiahuna and agree it is lovely. the condos are spacious, the grounds are lovely and the beach is one of the best on Kauai. Kiahuna does have a pool - it's just across the street adjacent to the tennis courts, nowhere near the ocean and not that great. The beach is much better for hanging out.

Kiahuna guests have priveleges to the Sheraton's garden pool, but not the Sheraton oceanfront pool. The pool across the street by the tennis courts formerly available to Kiahuna guests is closed.

The restaurant at Kiahuna is called Plantation Gardens and is lovely.
