Stay in San Diego or Temecula

I'm joining my husband in SD the first week of October. As we've stayed in SD, La Jolla and Laguna, I'm considering booking lodging in Temecula (we have 3-4 days). Has anyone had experience with Temecula Creek Inn or Loma Vista B&B? Also, is Temecula interesting enough for a couple day's stay, or should we plan on staying in SD?
Thanks in advance!

Temecula is a fine place to visit for a day. Some decent wineries, some antique stores, that's it.

Stay in SD and drive up for a day if you want.

I agree with Joe. Not much left to do after spending an afternoon at a winery.

I've stayed at the Temecula Creek Inn and it's very pleasant. However, unless you're planning on a golfing holiday, you'd be better off staying in San Diego, as the posters above have suggested.

Thanks you guys for the replies - I'll follow your advice. (Oops - I meant to post this in the California "topic".)
Leslee
