Stanhope/Park Hyatt - does it still exist?

We used to stay at the Stanhope and my daughter who lives in NYC told me that it was closed a while back. I read somewhere that it was becoming condominiums. Is that true? I still find it listed on the 'net but don't know if it is old stuff. I'd love to stay there again if it is still standing and still a hotel. Anyone with first-hand knowledge? Thx

It's definitely still around!! It looks like a REALLY nice place to stay, too!!!

You can read reviews of it and get more details at:

The most recent review is from December 10th of this year--so it's obviously still open for business.

It isn't a Hyatt property and is condos. While the name may still be on the building, Hyatt has nothing to do with the hotel.

No it's closed. While that review may have been written on 12/10 of this year, the people actually stayed in 2000! The last review/stay is this past Feb, almost a year ago.

If you like the area, the Mark Hotel is not far.

Units in the Stanhope are now on sale. If you have $15 million you can stay there..in your own home!!!!
