Stamford Question - Metro North to UConn

The walk from the Stamford Metro North station to UConn - that area is safe, yes?

Thanks in advance.

Daytime? Nighttime? What time of year [cold, snow etc]

The walk itself is doable:

Not sure I would do it at night.
