Staff who play the piano or guitar

Hi,
I would like to know restaurants that have staff or performers who could play the guitar or the piano for the customers. I am planning to sing a couple of songs to my girl friend on her birthday. Could anyone suggest such restaurants? Cost is not an issue

The US is a large country. you might need to narrow down the region/state/city, you're wanting to celebrate in.

Where?

And what makes you think they would let you sing in a restaurant? And subject all of their other patrons to your performance? (Are you a professional singer? Or prepared to rent out the whole restaurant?

I think you need a karaoke bar.

Sorry for not mentioning. I am looking for restaurants in New York City.
And yes, I sing. I'm just looking for a restaurant which would do a small favor like this. Nothing fancy. I'm not singing for the whole restaurant. It's not to my girl. Stand next to my table with someone playing the guitar and sing a couple of songs.

Just sing very quietly to her a capella--it will be less likely to bother the other customers.

How much are you prepared to pay fr this "small favor" that may irritate everyone else in the restaurant.

I know a lot of people who think they sing - as I said look at a karaoke bars. Most of them are not something others are interested in hearing.

Do you sing professionally? How much are you paid - and in what type of venue?

Actually, I don't think it will be the hard to find a place that will accommodate your plan. But you do have to do your own research to find it.

I'd think a piano bar would be your best bet. I would also say though that you better be able to actually sing. Nowhere wants a guy singing off key.

I would not want to listen to someone sing a couple of songs while I'm out at a restaurant, so unless you have a private room you will be singing for (and interrupting) the whole restaurant. One short song others may tolerate, but not a couple of songs.

You can sing here, with the piano player. I won't vouch for the food but it is popular in the neighborhood.
