Sta Barbara/Big Sur/Carmel
hello everyone!!
the best hotels in this places. Honeymoon in october.
Thanks!
You certainly aren't going to find a nicer, more special place in that area for your honeymoon than the Post Ranch in Big Sur.
thanks Marion!
Do you have any other suggestion about Carmel??
Tickle Pink Inn or Highlands Inn in Carmel, 7 Gables or Green Gables in Pacific Grove. All would be wonderful places to honeymoon. Start your reservations now because October is one of our most popular months.
Harbor View Inn in Santa Barbara!
How about the cave room at the Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo for one night. Very memorable.
how about El Encanto in Santa Barbara.
cool!!!!!!! and where is the town called Cambria????
Cambria is on the coast, just north of Morro Bay. I find that Yahoo maps is a good source for finding out where towns are in relation to other areas.
Could you tell me more hotels in this area??? specially close to Hearst Castle!
Do a search on the forum for Cambria or Moonstone Beach for ideas on hotels near Hearst Castle.
We are planning to stay in Cambria but we don´t know which hotel is better the Blue Dolphin Inn or Blue Whale Inn? the next day we are going to Hearst Castle!
any suggestions?
This is a great place just outside of Santa Barbara. It is right ON the ocean, a very small hotel with a nice pool and a small restaurant that is quite good.

http://www.cliffhouseinn.com/
thanks! I will see it
You will enjoy either the Blue Whale or the Blue Dolphin. They are both right on Moonstone beach and have ocean views. We stayed at the Blue Whale last month and loved it. There are only six rooms and they are beautiful. It is a AAA four diamond -- the only one along this beach. They have a beautiful common area where they serve afternoon wine and hor d'oeuvres and an elegant breakfast. The baths are wonderful. The only thing I missed was having my own private patio overlooking the ocean. I would probably go with the Blue Dolphin if they had patios. I am sure you know that this is not a swimming beach, but the boardwalk that they have put in to protect the area makes for great walking.

Bacara (Resort/Spa)in Santa Barbara (North of Goleta, actually) overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is 100% luxury.
Great!!! Maybe we will stay at the Blue Dolphin because Santa Barbara it´s far a way from Hearst Castle don´t you think?
:)
Santa Barbara to Hearst Castle in San Simeon is around a 2-1/2 to 3 hour drive, so I'd suggest staying along Moonstone Beach that night. But plan on eating in Cambria.
