St. Petersburg FL Restaurants
Hi, Everyone!
I'm looking for a recommendation for a restaurant in St. Pete on a Saturday night. Six mid-age friends, men & women, quiet atmosphere, $15-$20 entrees, traditional American steaks and fish preferred, good service a must. Italian would also be okay, view would be a plus! Any ideas? Also, has anyone been to Primi Urban Cafe, Horse & Jockey Brit Pub, or Cafe Alma? And first-hand observations on these? Thanks in advance for your insight! |
Anybody ????

I don't dine in St. Pete much and have not been to this place, but it gets a good mention or two on Chowhound, and a friend who is a big fan of steakhouses liked it:
http://www.cassisab.com/cassis.html It's on Beach Drive, so while there isn't exactly a view, it's near the Pier and is a great place to stroll. FWIW, it's on my list of places to go next time we're in St. Pete! We like Z Grille, which is Mexican-influenced and a lot more casual than what you're looking for; and Bella Brava is good Italian, but with even less of a view. Am not familiar with the places you have listed, sorry! |

Hello?? You were so impatient yesterday...

Sorry, I've had some real life issues to deal with. Thank you very much for the two recommendations. Cassis looks perfect, and I do believe that looks like the Ovation complex. Perfect!

You're welcome! Enjoy!

I've been to Cassis twice and was disappointed both times. Food was okay but the service was poor - an interesting combination of amateurish and arrogant. You'll be much happier at the Parkshore Grill, Ceviche or Bella Brava, all of which are in the same area as Cassis.
