St.Pete Forum-Hotel/Motel

Does anyone know a hotel/motel fairly close to the St. Pete Times Forum? Am going in Oct for Neil Diamond concert and would like to stay overnight. Thanks, Linda

The new Hampton Inn Downtown in St Petersburg would be my choice. It isn't extremely close, but it's in a super location and is much more upscale than any other Hampton I've ever seen.

The St. Pete Times Forum is in Tampa, Hillsborough County. St. Petersburg is in Pinellas County, which would be at least a half hour drive on I-275 over Tampa Bay to the Channelside area. The Hampton Inn does look very nice, though, and would be a perfect location if you would be staying in southern Pinellas County and specifically want to stay downtown SP, walking distance to everything in downtown SP, as well as being near the trolley to take you out to the beaches, right off of interstate to also take you to the beaches, etc.

Any of the downtown hotels...I'm most familiar with the larger ones...Marriot Riverside, Hyatt Regency, or Wyndham Harbor Island. There's a Marriott Courtyard downtown as well.

They should have stuck with the Ice Palace name...St Pete Times Forum causes and will cause eternal confusion for those from out of town...although I thought Wayne doesn live in town!!

Thanks everyone--yes St. Pete Forum is confusing--but what I really want to know if there are any hotels within walking distance---say a half mile or so, or a shuttle service, we are just spending the nite, next day we will head back to Sarasota. Thanks

All of OO's suggestions are within walking distance to the St. Pete Times Forum. The closest is the Marriot Waterside (not riverside -- OO, what IS that "riverside" one???). The area is nice and very safe for walking.

oops. Actually the Courtyard Marriot is a bit of a hike, although definitely do-able. Other hotels are much closer to the Forum.

Thanks Tandoori Girl and OO knew you guys would come thru for me.
