st. louis restaurants

Hi,
I am going to be in St. Louis for the weekend for the Cubs Cardinals game. Do you know of any restaurants right in the downtown area near the ballpark? What about bars to watch the games at?
Thanks

You may want to try:
Broadway Oyster Bar
736 S Broadway
Saint Louis, MO 63102

It has great creole food, live music, outdoor patio and funky atmosphere. I dont think this is where you would watch a game, but maybe go after or a different night. It is walking distance to the stadium.

There is Lacledes landing which offers a variety of palces to eat. One that comes to mind is
Sundeckers on First Street - you can watch the game there too.Has an outdoor patio.

Lumiere Place has a few bars. It is a brand new hotel/casino and the food is good there too.

Do you need to be in walking distance of the ballpark or can you drive somewhere?

There are several bars in the downtown area right near the ballpark that will have the game on - Paddy Os, Al Hrabosky's, Mike Shannons, even Hooters and TGIFridays.

If you want a little less of a mob scene and have access toa car, you could travel south down 7th street to Soulard, where there are all kinds of bars and restaurants.

Thanks, yes we will have car or could even take a taxi. Friday night I don't mind traveling to watch the game, but Saturday we are attending the game and would prefer to stay around the ballpark.
Thanks for the suggestions

ARe you staying in a hotel downtown?

Soulard is a great place to go. If you want reccomendations let us know. You will need a car though.

There are other fun sports bars to recommend in midtown too if you are staying closer to the county.

Yep, we're staying downtown. So far I was able to check out the oyster bar's website and it sounds great!
