St. Louis Hotels-narrowed it down to two-need help

I have narrowed it down to the Residence Inn Downtown or the Hyatt Regency Downtown St. louis. I can't make up my mind. Anyone ever stayed at either one?
Thank you for any ideas.

I have not stayed at either one - but I would chose Hyatt. It is closer to the downtown attractions. The rooms overlook the Arch and River. I live in STL and I think the Hyatt gets better reviews.
Have fun!

I stayed at the St Louis Hyatt twice. First time with my sister and then with my husband. We enjoyed the stay each time. It is in a Great location near shopping and dining. it is a few block away from the Arch. It used to be a train station and today there might still be a dinner train that still runs. Ceck with the front desk.

Well shoot, I wish I had read this before I went and did something I think I am going to regret. I had this crazy idea of trying to get a hotel on priceline. So I put in a bid thinking that I had a good shot of the hotel being the Hyatt and I ended up getting the Renaissance Grand downtown. I don't know if I will ever bid like that again (not knowing what I am getting). Now that I have been on trip advisor website I am really worried about all the negative reviews it has had. Oh well, I am stuck with it now, going to try and think good thoughts about it :-)

We've stayed at the Renaissance Grand twice in the past two years. Nice hotel in a good location. We didn't spend much time in the room, but had no problems.

Thank you, that makes me feel a little better :-)
