St Louis...August Temperatures?

How hot and muggy is it likely to be in Mid-August in St Louis?

I live in central Illinois, about 2 hours east of St. Louis. It will, most likely, be in the upper 80's or 90's during August. It's not unbearable, but the central Illinois area I live in does tend to get fairly muggy that time of year. This year seems to be a little warmer than some others, too.

In my earlier post about central Illinois -- we get the same weather pattern St. Louis gets.

I am in St. Louis the last weekend in July, every year for a reunion. Every year at that time for the last five years, it has been in the 100+ range, humid and basically miserable if you have to be outside, which we do :) <BR>

This year we have had very strange weather. It has been surprisingly pleasant. usually, though, the summers are very hot and very muggy. Ever sit in your car on a hot summer day with the windows closed?- that's what it can be like here in St. Louis in mid-August.
