St. Augustine Restaurant
 

I believe I will be going to St. Augustine next weekend. I ate at one place there on my visit and I cannot remember the name. It was on the main street, and it was a pale yellow color. We had to go upstairs to eat. At any rate I don't want to dine there again. Any other suggestions? Casual not real expensive is fine. I will be with my family and 9 month old granddaughter. Also is Ripleys believe it or not worth it? Thanks.

Creekside Dinery is nice.

We enjoyed Saltwater Cowboys for good food, casual atmosphere and a neat setting.

Agree with Bubba2 and jayne1973.

In addition, The Reef <http://www.thereefstaugustine.com/> has a georgeous ocean view and an afordable early bird menu.

A little further away, in St. Augustine Beach, is Mango Mango's a small, casual beachside restaurant with a tropical theme and a decent, casual menu. They are located at 700 A1A Beach Blvd., St. Augustine Beach. The phone is 904-461-1077.

Ripleys has a lot of really interesting "stuff" and is not just the blatant tourist trap that it appears to be.

Another neat place in St Augustine Beach is the Beachcomber - it's right on the ocean at the end of A Street. A lot of locals hang out there.

Thanks everyone. We will be in St. Augustine on Sat. p.m. We will be in the old part of town where the Fort is located. We are coming in from PHL. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a few days of some nice Beach weather as well. Thanks again.

If you need a no-frills, good food and friendly service kind of place for breakfast in the area you'll have staying in, try Mary's restaurant, which is located next to the Monterey Inn. It's right next to old town and faces the bay in the fort area.

I vote for Creekside. Its a cool authentic feeling old Florida place with an outdoor pit for roasting marshmallows and live entertainment on the patio. Very relaxing and food is good .
