St. Augustine Hotels - Historic District

Does anyone have a suggestion for an economical hotel in the historic district? Something reasonable, but not totally bare bones? Thanks.

Have stayed at the LaQuinta and was reasonable and clean.

Yes, One hotel that is really nice and run by a couple is fairly new and clean. Stayed there once. Its on the other side of the "bridge of Lions" but its a great walk across to the historic district. the website is http://www.anastasiainn.com/

I also agree that the La Quinta INN is nice as well but perhaps a longer walk to downtown.

very nice and luxary hotel right downtown!! not too expensive but a few ideas!

those are the only hotels i can think of close to downtown-most are bed & breakfast places.

I stayed in the historic district two years ago at a lovely bed and breakfast which was really more of an Inn.

The St. Francis Inn. It seemed reasonable to me at the time and it offered many services and packages.
