St. Augustine Florida Historic District

I am going to St. Augustine Historic District the first weekend in November. I want a hotel right on the Main Street, in the middle of all of the activity. Can someone recommend a nice hotel that is clean and located here?

Thanks so much. It looks nice and clean and the price seems reasonable.

Not a lot of hotels in St. Augustine historic district. There are lots of really nice inns though. The main drag is a pedestrian only street. We really like the Agustin Inn. It is right in the middle of the historic area and one block off the main drag.

We love St. Augustine and have been there several times staying in a different Inn each time (Agustin is our favorite).

Hi,

I stayed at the Penny Farthing Inn while there and just loved the inn & found St. Augustine to have an almost magical energy about it. While not on the busy part of St. George St., the Old City is quite compact & I walked to that stretch in minutes. While a modestly longer walk was required to get to the Castillo (and a longer walk yet to the Fountain of Youth park) than if I'd been closer to that busy stretch of bars & restauarants, I felt it evened out as that side of the Old City was closer to attractions such as the Lightner Museum, the Prince Murat House and the Oldest House, some of my favourite spots in the city.

Wherever you stay, wishing you an amazing trip!

Daniel
